Licensed Practical Nurse

Summary of
Responsibilities
Provides initial and ongoing health screening assessments for residents and makes appropriate referrals to clinics and other community services. Consults regarding protocols and procedures regarding the use of prescribed and non-prescribed medications. Maintains accurate medical records for residents. Provides emergency medical treatment to residents when on site. Consults regarding medication ordering, medication counts, and inventory of medications. Inventories and orders medical supplies in conjunction with program staff.
RequirementsMust be a Licensed Practical Nurse with at least 2 years of health related experience. Pediatric experience preferred.
Salary Range$16.00-17.00/hourly
Residential Counselor

Summary of
Responsibilities
Responsible for providing a therapeutic milieu ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of clients in care and the implementation of the treatment program.
RequirementsMust possess excellent organizational, communication, time management, documentation, and conflict resolution skills. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to manage multiple tasks. Must have a general knowledge of PC. A temperament to work with and care for clients with special needs. Knowledge and skills needed to address cultural differences within the organization's service population. Must be flexible and willing to work holidays, overtime, and different shifts and apartments. Must possess willingness to participate in activities on and off campus for the educational and social development of clients. Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in a related field preferred; or a HS diploma or GED with the thorough documentation of a minimum of two years extensive experience and training in the Social Services field. Note: All applicants for this position must be willing and physically able to perform Safe Crisis Management (SCM), a technique used to restrain or transport a client who has temporarily lost control of their behavior. St. Joseph Children’s Home provides extensive training in this technique as well as many other training requirements and opportunities. All applicants for this position must also possess a valid driver’s license and an insurable driving record.
Salary Range$10.48 per hour
