The St. Joseph
Children's Home Alumni Association is
a wonderful group of good friends whose
sole purpose is to give to the Children
of the Home so they may have a better
life – to
repay St. Joseph’s
for giving them a good foundation while
they were growing up here back in the
1930’s, 40’s,
50’s, 60’s,
70’s and 80’s. They are a tremendous blessing
to the Home.
What
does the Alumni Association do?
- They work together to raise money for items not in
the general budget; in recent years
they contributed money toward a new boiler,
speaker system, direction sign in
front of the building, vending machines.
- They pay for things like roller skates,
basketball goals, vacation trips and team uniforms – things
they know are important to the children.
- They give “extra” to the current
children that were never available to themselves
Every October the Alumni Association holds
their Annual Card Party – their yearly fundraiser for providing
support to the children. The Card party is always fun for
all, with food, drinks, desserts, and
the opportunity to be with wonderful people and
bigger-than-ever prizes!
